Outreach at St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s Outreach Committee lives its mission of Spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through Serving Others. Through relationships with its outreach partners, St. Paul’s helps serve people in need in the Milwaukee area and around the world. Targeting priorities such as hunger, community cohesion, educational opportunity and youth development, our partners include:

  • Common Ground
  • The Gathering
  • Interchange Food Pantry
  • Our Next Generation
  • Sojourner Family Peace Center

International missions include the Diocesan Haiti Project, Hope for Nepal and our sister parish, Christ Church in Oforola, Nigeria. Together, the Outreach Committee and Thrift Shop contributed more than $41,000 in support for these organizations in 2014.

Outreach Committee meetings, held approximately bi-monthly, are full of shared fellowship. Driven by the work of outreach champions who maintain ties to partner organizations, they are open to all and enriched by the broad participation of interested members of the St. Paul’s community. This fellowship grows more meaningful and real through personal contact — through visits by leaders of partner organizations to participate in forums at St. Paul’s, through tours of outreach sites and through contributions of time and talent to these ministries by members of our church community.  Contact Steve Filmanowicz for more information.

Or to participate in our most active outreach effort — supporting the Gathering meal program by serving Saturday meals, preparing bag lunches or providing personal supplies for Gathering guests — contact ministry champions Melva Sabatke and Lisa Kuhn.
