Deanna Singh: “I Am a Boy of Color and I Am a Girl of Color” |African American Heritage Lecture Series #4

This video was the fourth in a four part series offered during the African American Heritage Celebration hosted by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Milwaukee, WI. This education session featured Deanna Singh, BA, JD, MBA. Singh, a Milwaukee native, is recognized as a leading authority in building innovative opportunities within underserved communities. As Chief Change Agent and Founder of Flying Elephant, Deanna is a highly respected thought leader, who has spent almost 20 years researching, designing and building asset-based solutions to complex social challenges. She recently completed her first two children’s books “I Am a Boy of Color” and “I Am a Girl of Color”, and was featured as a TEDx speaker. She released her first business book, “Purposeful Hustle”, in Fall of 2018.  Singh was introduced by Brenda Purnell, a member of the steering committee for our African American Heritage Celebration.
