St. Paul’s Celebrates African Heritage Month and Mardi Gras

St. Paul’s observance of African Heritage Month concludes Sunday morning, February 23, with a CELEBRATION. There will be only one service—the 10:15 AM Eucharist.

On the last Sunday of the month, February 23, the Paradise Jazz Band will play for some parts of the Eucharist and provide a festive “New Orleans” Postlude at its conclusion.  Following the service there will be a festive luncheon reception to celebrate the diversity of St. Paul’s parish. It will be held in the Great Hall. The luncheon is potluck and folks are invited to bring a dish or dessert of African/African American origin to share. The Paradise Jazz Band will also offer various Mardi Gras pieces during the reception and the MSOE Barbershop Singers will provide a few sweet tunes for our enjoyment.
